Greenblock is a system that comprises of modern building materials applied to a traditional building method that has been around for a long time. We have improved on the basic idea and strength of traditional concrete block construction by making Greenblock lightweight, cheaper, easier and more durable due to the selection of materials and patented design.

Greenblock comprises of solid Civil grade EPS block containing fire retardant and pest retardant. Greenblock is not constructed of common grey, green or white polystyrene that is not intended for this purpose, we use the same material that is used for structural voids in bridge pylons and soil stabilization, not cladding. Greenblock comprises of 4 different systems that allows us to adapt to a huge range of scenarios. With Greenblock we can offer solutions for retaining, sound reduction, reclaimed soil, highly reactive soil, cyclonic regions, public walls, existing concrete footings or concrete and designs not possible in any other system

The installed panel then accepts a full Rockcote render system developed specifically for Greenblock that is subject to a 15 year warranty. This render is a big part of the durability of this system and is re-enforced with fiberglass mesh ranging from 160GSM to 500 GSM mesh. Our render has been developed in conjuction with Rockcote to achieve maximum impact resistence and a level durability expected of such an exposed product.

In our experience, other attempts at a seamless boundary wall that have cladding screwed to a rail or slotted into a frame with posts or "c-channels" that then are cemented in individually, will inevitably fail as the render cracks from excessive movement caused by independent footings and reactive soils with excessive spans. Avoiding cracks, calcification and leaching lime deposits is the reason we have persisted with perfecting this system.

Other systems that work with movement cannot achieve a seamless finish, with posts staggered panels, capping trims, short panels stacked on top of each other and gaps between the panels and the ground. We find educated consumers not accepting cheaper alternatives, often reverting back to the extra expense of block to compliment the look of a modern house. Now Greenblock can offer an identical look to concrete block with no durability issues and generally a lot cheaper, including normally expensive design features.

Greenblock can provide literally kilometers of seamless panels without cracking and in most cases as the most cost effective option while all the time remaining the most attractive. Greenblock is a designer system that is capable of intricate, unique designs that are not possible with brick or block, the sky really is the limit.

Greenblock is a sustainable building solution that comprises of a large percentage of recycled materials. Offcuts of panels are sent back to the factory to be reground, cleaned and used to manufacture high build Rockcote cement render . The polystyrene used is a by product of petroleum production that would otherwise be emmited as gasses or landfill.
